Longitudinal lens sections from 6-week-old, 4-month-old, and 8-month-old ephrin-A5^+/+ and ephrin-A5^-/- mice were stained with EphA2-pY589 (green) antibody, phalloidin (F-actin, red), and DAPI (nuclei, blue). The EphA2-pY589 fluorescence highlighted the lens epithelial cells (arrows) across all age-matched control and ephrin-A5^-/- lenses. Scale bar, 50 μm.
